Different Shades of Women is an organization that provides resources to our youth struggling with various addictions. We aim to empower young adults in the community by mentoring, cultivating a positive atmosphere and providing them with the tools that are needed to overcome obstacles as a result of addiction related trauma. Our focus is to provide a safe space for young adults who are struggling with addiction and all its complexities including mental health, the journey to sobriety and the support needed to maintain sobriety. At DIFFERENT SHADES OF WOMEN, we understand that addiction is a life-long journey of highs, lows and emotionally challenging moments. Our goal is to provide comfort, stability and most importantly support.
Why we do what we do!
Different Shades of Women is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering adolescence of all backgrounds. Through our women’s empowerment group, we foster a supportive community where women can connect, learn, and grow together. In addition to empowering women, we actively engage in volunteer work to make a positive impact in our communities.
Our core mission is to provide essential resources to individuals in disadvantaged communities and struggling with various addictions. From job assistance to housing support, educational opportunities to mental health services, and access to food banks, we strive to address the diverse needs of those we serve. Mentoring and guiding our youth through the journey of adulthood, by helping them overcome the many obstacles they may face in life. We utilize word of mouth, social media, and community outreach to reach those who may benefit most from our services.
We are driven by the belief that everyone deserves access to the tools and resources necessary for a fulfilling life. We want to be a support system to help keep them on the right track after rehab. Many individuals face barriers in accessing vital information and services, and we aim to bridge that gap. Our goal is to empower adolescence to take the next steps towards a brighter future.

Our Future
Looking ahead, we aspire to expand our impact by establishing a dedicated commercial location. This space will serve as a hub for our services, operating from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Clients will have the opportunity to engage in an intake process and access a comprehensive range of services, including hot meals, computer access, hot showers, NA and AA services, and potential housing opportunities.
